Summer lies sunnily ahead and there are two bank holidays to enjoy too. So pick up a box of our spring-pink cupcakes from Waitrose as a delicious no-effort crowd-pleasing contribution to a long weekend get-together.

Cross your fingers for fine weather for picnickers this month, and for brides and grooms, too. We’re delighted that our range of four stunning wedding cakes has re-launched on Waitrose Entertaining, just in time for peak wedding season. They are elegant and undecorated, ready for you to work your magic, perhaps tying them into the colour scheme with a final flourish of flowers (unsprayed, please!), taking a weight off any wedding organiser’s mind. It takes us back to that magical time – 13 years ago! – when we were so proud to make Prince William and Kate Middleton’s wedding cake.

It’s so easy to try our delicious cakes now, as Ocado will soon deliver them to your front door from later this month. So get ordering and share a salted caramel teatime cake, lemon loaf or indulgent chocolate confetti cake (or all three) with friends in a garden on a warm afternoon, as it slides into a long, light (at last!) evening.
